Worked with the Group Financial Controller to establish a proper Accounting system which boosted the accuracy, relevance & the objectivity of Financial & Management reporting for the company. Automation of routine tasks, elimination of manual procedures and reducing risks of error & misrepresentation were some of the key goals achieved. The process of data-migration and the subsequent reconciliation of general ledger balances under tight deadlines allowed me to be well-versed with the Quickbooks systems, tested my attention to detail, and led me to uncover alternate ways to cleanse, format and analyse data, while also opening me to the ins & outs of the business from the previous years to date and gave me the head-start I needed to be a pivotal part of the Finance team. From then on, I performed monthly-closing of accounts in a timely manner and I was put In-charge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and General Ledger.We also worked closely with the Managing director, to keep track of operating costs and worked with suppliers to help reduce redundant costs and streamline our expenditure. In addition, I Aided in the Computation & Filing of Quarterly GST and Corporate Tax for YA20 & YA21.Outside of my Finance role, I also helped the company to shoot Corporate headshots and other pictures for marketing collaterals.
