  1- Design, modelling, and testing of steel structural components of volumetric modular buildings. The structural research group at University de Sherbrooke has worked over the past five years together with RCM Solutions Modulaires to deliver Canada's tallest modular steel structure, a 12-storey structure, the Holiday Inn in Gatineau. With modular housing, we’re building homes in a matter of months rather than years. We are working on volumetric modular buildings. By building a house in a controlled environment, we can avoid inefficiencies. The assembly line helps build at a faster pace. So, we can create 30 to 40% efficiencies by having all subs under one roof. 2- Design, modelling, optimization, and testing of a new generation of aluminum transmission towers. Considering the need to develop a new generation of durable, easy-to-assemble, and lightweight transmission towers, the structural research group at University de Sherbrooke, has worked on developing aluminum transmission towers as a cutting-edge solution.
