The Choose Life Mat Project

Alderley Edge
-
Crowdfunder
-
Aug 2017 - Dec 2017
The Choose Life Mat project came from personal experiences of having a family member who suffers with addiction and mental health issues and seeing how yoga has really helped him in his recovery. I wanted to do something positive and raise awareness of these issues and support 2 charities who have done incredible work in these areas: Action On Addiction & Mind. My team crowdfunded to produce an eco-yoga mat with the iconic Katharine Hamnett logo, CHOOSE LIFE. All the profits being shared between the charities. The project responsibilities included: setting up the crowdfunder page - the story, video, images, information, pledge section. liasing with our partner companies who produced and printed the mats for us communicating with the charities promoting the project via social media, press and our networks sourcing and working with Influencers logistics of organising the orders and posting them to our supporters Show less

THE YARD (ALDERLEY EDGE) LLP
-
Alderley Edge
-
Brand Ambassador
-
2012 - 2017
A lifestyle shop, juice bar, cafe and event space in the heart of Alderley Edge. My roles over the 5 years varied. I began developing the shop area, managing the team, choosing products whilst at the same time developing the juice bar area connecting with clients, introducing customers to health foods including cleanses. The Yard was the first business in the Cheshire area to be ahead of the wellness trend and my time living in London and loving the wellness lifestyle meant I was able to bring my knowledge back. It became a thriving, successful part of the business which meant I was able to bring in key members to run it and focus on other areas. I developed and coordinated the events section of the business. Hosting many private parties including corporate dinners, birthdays, christenings and wedding celebrations. My role included meeting the client to discuss their requirements, putting the plan together for food/drink/entertainment, the pricing and the running of the actual event. The feedback was always positive and we became the venue in demand in the area offering something very unique. The Yard Happenings were a fantastic opportunity to create our own cultural and holistic events for the community to gather. These ranged from yoga wellness mornings, supper clubs (Madeleine Shaw / Honestly Healthy / Mind, Body, Bowl), film nights with Q&A's, Yard Sessions (Peter Hook / Kathryn Williams / John Bramwell) and Open Mic nights. I would come up with the idea for the event, organise logistics, promote it, sell tickets and set up/host. Social Media & Marketing - over the 5 years The Yard became a well-known and loved venue and brand. I developed the social media presence on instagram/twitter and facebook and grew our following dramatically. Alongside this we had a strong database of loyal customers of 5,000 whom I would send our newsletters which people loved to read because of the personal tone and our exciting news. @theyardlifestyle Show less

Played Lottie in BBC2 sitcom set behind the scenes of a Saturday morning celebrity entertainment show. Lottie began the show as a runner who then became a presenter and towards the end of the series quit the show to become a popstar. The cast included Joel Dommett and featured cameos from Mollie (The Saturdays), Emma Willis, Lee Mack and many more. It was an exciting show to be part of and some of the material was improvised (also have a writing credit), I also gained presenting experience.
