As part of my role I have been instrumental within a small team in the design and delivery of a new all degree curriculum which involves multidisciplinary learning. The programme commenced in September 2012 and in 2013 recruited to full capacity of 340 Adult Learners. My specialist subjects are Diabetes Management, Renal Disease and Education. I am an active member of the teaching team involved in clinical practice simulation within the University as well as delivering lecturers on a range of topics associated with health care. Within my learning and teaching strategies I use a wide range of technology including e-learning, but also highly proficient in facilitation of groups and delivering key note lectures on specialist subjects. As a Personal Tutor I provide both professional development and personal guidance for adult learners. My coaching skills includes reflective practice which aims to empower the individual to utilise reflexivity in order to maximise their own potential.
