Sakura is a startup working to develop a minimally invasive medical diagnostic device. We aim to make gynecology more accessible to patients while reducing the negative feelings often associated with regular exams by giving patients a greater sense of control and decreasing the need for additional invasive examinations by expanding the abilities of the original exam. Sakura MedTech is a finalist and won second place in the 11th Annual College New Venture Challenge (CNVC), an undergraduate student startup accelerator. The team acquired $20,000 from CNVC. CNVC is a joint program between the UIUC Grainger College of Engineering and the University of Chicago Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Currently competing in Cozad New Venture Challenge.
