  I was part of CANDO (Controlling Abnormal Network Dynamics using Optogenetics) project's fabrication team. The goal of the project is to treat patients with focal epilepsy by using a brain implant. The implant will monitor brain activity via recording electrodes. Gene therapy is used to make some neurons sensitive to light. My role was concerned with the micro-fabrication of the optrodes of the brain implant.
