  This year I have taken over the role of International News Editor for the SOAS Spirit, an independent newspaper run by and for SOAS students. I am responsible for compiling current news stories for every edition and working with a team of writers to print the best and most relevant articles every half term. I also work closely with the Senior Editorial team to ensure all the articles are edited and ready for print within the turnaround time.   My employment by the Royal Collection Trust enabled me to work in Buckingham Palace for their annual summer opening. I was both a security and state rooms warden which allowed me to gain experience in both the security field, operating airport style security machinery and communicating with and assisting the public during their visit to one of the most famous tourist attractions in the World.

  As a Tutor at Kumon Educational, I personally helped students to learn new skills in both Maths and English as well as help them develop previously learnt skills. I also interacted with parents/guardians of current and prospective students at the study center, dealing with new admissions as well as handling monthly tuition fees. Another aspect of my role involved sorting and updating student progress records.
