  • Manage comprehensive school-based program (middle and high school) that offers curriculum level education on prevention, life skills and college preparation. • Facilitate weekly in-class and afterschool lessons that teach prevention and character education to promote positive decision making; track students’ progress and assess needs. • Coordinate college access programs to include tours, workshops on exploration, application, financial aid and admissions process. • Write and secure grant funding for summer college tours and initiatives to promote college success for underserved students; ensure budget goals are met. • Lead a school / community partnership initiative that develops strategies to enhance student achievement and engage parents. • Mentor and coach social work interns to help navigate schools; seek resources to assist students. • Oversee weekly Science Technology Entry Program (STEP) at NYIT to expose 25 students to careers in science, technology, medicine, and engineering; serve on STEP Advisory Committee. • Liaise with Stony Brook University Medical Center HOPE program; recruit students for health careers program. • Supervise one Community Educator in all aspects of outreach and programming. • Write and submit monthly and quarterly reports on student outcomes.
