Collaborating and working with Esteban was an extreme pleasure. Esteban has great work ethics and is highly passionate about system design and design thinking. He worked with our Consumer Platform team on setting up Opendoor's Design System along with other key initiatives at Opendoor. I met Esteban during my Syracuse University MBA residency program in Costa Rica. I was observing him taking photographs of food for the Aloft restaurant and I was intrigued by his attention to detail and focus on the project he was working on. I politely introduced myself and learned about his experience in design and branding. This past April, while back in NYC, I was looking for a brand designer for a startup that I was launching and immediately thought of Esteban. After hearing more from Esteban on his approach to design and brand development, I knew he was the right person to work on this project for me. I could have used other resources to accomplish this task, but he methodology and approach to the task was incredibly impressive. He doesn't design based on the ask, he immerses himself in understanding the brand persona and he allows the branding to come to life organically. What I like about Esteban's work is that no two brands look the same nor do you see his identity in the work. He lets the client develop the brand and Esteban plays a mediator to the execution of the request.
