  During the first year of this scheme I undertook placements in Land, Technical, Commercial, Construction, Finance and Sales, gaining full exposure to all functions of the UK's largest housebuilder. For the second year I have returned to the land department to focus on securing residential development opportunities in the North West.

• Corporate Affairs Secondment

  I successfully applied for a six month secondment to the Barratt Developments head office to work within the Corporate Affairs team. This was a diverse role within which I assisted with political communications, public relations, corporate partnerships and employee communications. I gained experience in how government legislation and regulation affects the housebuilding industry, worked on projects to influence political stakeholders and worked effectively with the wider executive board.
