I worked with Saber at Smarter Alloys and at McMaster University, where we were both Post-docs. Saber's was a great co-worker to have on your team; on every project I've worked with him on he's always had a tremendous sense of ownership of the project and his objectives, and would move mountains to realize the team goals. He is great to collaborate with, I've come to him with problems and always left learning more an finding short cuts. I've had great experiences working with Saber and wish you the best in the future, my friend.

Integrated Community Energy and Harvesting Systems (ICE-Harvest) is a cooperative research project that brings together industry and academia. It uses a whole-systems thinking approach to integrate thermal and electrical energy production, storage, redistribution, and consumption that also significantly reduces greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. The proposed ICE-Harvest system integrates electricity generation and heat production at the community level. Achievements: . Communicated, presented, and led workshops with local electrical and gas utilities and municipalities for multiple demonstration sites. . Successfully created energy systems modeling and design tools using in-house code (MATLAB, Python) and commercial software (i.e. CAN-Quest, EnergyPlus, and RETScreen.) · Acted as project management for research thrust of community load modeling and analysis. · Provided mentorship to research engineers at various levels on building energy modeling and energy management strategies. · Modeling the performance of energy equipment to aid integrated design tools. Examined the performance of energy devices at different part loads and climate conditions, especially cooling towers' performance in different weather conditions. · Employed professional skills in GIS in presenting the potential of integrated energy systems on the reduction of GHG emissions and climate change control- this potential aid grant applications for sustainable energy and decarbonization programs and aid community energy plans in Ontario. · Patent contributor for Integrated Community Energy and Harvest systems (ICE-Harvest) Show less
