  Project is based on plant operations and maintenance. The whole project is executed at Pakistan Oil Fields Limited (POL)-Pindori Plant. A keen observation of plant equipment,maintenance procedures was carried out and several problems and issues were identified at POL-Pindori. Based on that observations “Total Productive Maintenance”implementation was suggested to POL administration and it was carried out successfully. The implementation of TPM provided a state of the art maintenance strategy while improving plant reliability . CONCLUSIONS: COST SAVINGS:  Cost of spare parts inventory is reduced by 80%, with annual savings of up to 1 million.  Cost of lube oil usage is reduced by 0.5 million annually, due to following the SOPs and spillage prevention. RELIABILITY IMPROVEMENT: (Overall Reliability of the plant is improved by 30%, due to the following the maintenance schedules, SOPs made during the project.)  Regular cleaning, lubrication, inspection and small maintenance tasks by the operators and workers.  Sense of ownership and will of continuous improvement.
