A dynamic, full-service agency with a diverse range of clients who are not afraid of outsourcing specialist skills and additional expertise to complement their dedicated core team. This allows Efficiency to be truly customer-centric and adaptable, which is something that I admire in an agency. I am incredibly excited to be a part of this team, and cannot wait to learn and work alongside them!I am currently working remotely as a graphic designer. So far, I have contributed to their Bridgestone, Supa Quick, Samsung, and Philips portfolios. I have also done in-store activations for Dior.

Triggerfish Brewing is a client for which I serve as graphic designer, content creator, and social media manager. I have established an online visual identity and tone of voice for the company, and ensure that the quality of content that is produced is consistent. The platforms that I create content for include Facebook and Instagram, as well as their in-house TV screen, which serves as additional advertising. Furthermore, I am responsible for all Facebook events and event advertising, as well as online social media engagement with customers.

Triggerfish Brewing is a micro-brewery that produces a wide range of craft beer in Somerset West. One of my favourite things about working behind the bar in the taproom was helping customers decide which beer they might enjoy most. I was extremely knowledgable in the brewing processes behind each beer, as well as their varying flavour and IBU profiles as a result.

Augment Agency is a small graphic design studio that works within the realm of sports and lifestyle. Their local clients include Reebok South Africa and Fives Futbol. Augment also does remote work for international clients such as the Ospreys, a Welsh rugby team; Run Malibu, from California; and Snap It, a plumbing store in London. I functioned as a remote graphic designer. The time of year just before the official festive season kicks in is incredibly busy for creative agencies; therefore, my role was to take some pressure off of the design team. The Ospreys were the main portfolio that I worked on. This included updating their weekly match day program and stadium boards, as well as developing and designing the creatives for their Black Friday and Christmas online and in-store campaigns. I digitised their youth programme using Typeform, using modern visuals to ensure it would appeal to young people. Some other work that I did includes creating animated, video mock-ups for the agency itself to use on their social media; as well as flyers and posters for Fives Futbol.

  • Asta Italian Restaurant

    • Front Of House Manager
      • Mar 2021 - Dec 2021

Asta Italian Restaurant is a family-inspired restaurant that serves delicious, hearty Italian food. My role as restaurant manager was to open and close the restaurant in the mornings and evenings. During dinner service, our busiest time, I saw to it that the service went as smoothly as possible. I ensured that all front-of-house staff were well-trained. While it is not a fine-dining restaurant, my goal was for the customers to feel as though the service was of a similar standard. Towards the end of my time at Asta, the restaurant was fully booked almost every evening.

Belushi's Bars span across Europe in the form of fifteen bars and hostels. I started off as a daytime bartender. My responsibilities included preparing the continental breakfast for the hostel guests by 7:30 AM. Once that was completed, my next task was to prepare and manage the bar area. Soon after, I was given the responsibility of opening the restaurant area in the mornings. Having moved to Amsterdam with not much more than my suitcase, it was a wonderful way to meet new people and to feel welcomed as quickly as I was! The goal was to work here for six months until I found my feet, before looking out for opportunities in the creative world. My time in the Netherlands was cut short by my sudden move back to my family once the COVID-19 pandemic hit.

I tutored a university student who was looking to transfer to art school. I taught them the basics of drawing, and helped them build a portfolio that would assist them in their application. I helped them understand the importance of light, shade, texture, and volume in drawing. Furthermore, I taught them to let go, and to embrace practices such as blind-contour and gestural drawing. For my grade eleven Biology tutee, I ensured that I was up-to-date with the work that they were doing weekly. I would make sure that I understood everything completely so as to be able to answer any questions, as well as to be able to explain.
