  Highlights Planned, deployed and maintained: High end servers and wide area network with high availability for 24x7 business critical applications. LAN setup including Cisco 6509 Chassis switches, VLAN etc. Data center equivalent setup comprising all critical equipment like servers, network equipment, communication equipment, etc. Installed and maintained of HP Servers with SUSE Linux for Advertisement booking systems integrated with SAP, PPI and HELIOS OPI Software. Spearheaded the Systems, Networking, Scanning and Pre press Departments with a team size of 11 comprising multiple levels of positions. Carried out vendor evaluation & implementation of LAN Network of the organisation’s new print facility at OMR, Chennai. Maintained 12 WAN leased lines for better performance on a daily basis using MRTG, HP Openview, etc. Executed the preventive maintenance of the Desktop PCs, Servers, Laser Printers, Scanners and Imagesetters. Successfully built data security using backup tools, antivirus and backup devices for the critical production data. Designed architecture for disaster recovery including alternate site setup, storage, backup, restoration, problem escalation and resolution for the graphics files and editorial files. Performed as: Team Leader for the installation of SAP for the ADVT booking system along with HELIOS OPI. Project Leader for the Ink optimization project for the TOI and ET publications. Steered initiatives towards: Executing the commissioning of MPLS service from TATA on time. Evaluating the VMWARE virtualisation s/w and created a team to make a test environment and made a report. Took UPS power for critical servers and equipment from three different UPSs. Holds the distinction of carrying out Cost Control Analysis; implemented for various Laser & Colour Printers; achieved cost saving of toner cartridges and papers.
