    • Responsible Formulation Scientist
      • Feb 2023 - Present

The role focuses on developing silica-hydrogel composites for long-lasting drug delivery through injectable parenteral and local administration. These composites are tailor-made according to the individual requirements for each customer. As the Responsible Formulation Scientist in my projects, I regularly participate in teleconferences with customers and their responsible project teams all over the world, as I act as the company's scientific expert on all matters related to formulation. Therefore, I am also responsible for preparing reports, presentations and formulative plans for customer projects, partner ventures and internal technology development. My role also includes planning and executing the tutoring of new workers, as well as regularly assessing their progress in their individual training programs. • Formulation Scientist
      • Mar 2022 - Feb 2023

My work as a Formulation Scientist was a continuous specialization in the company's formulation work regarding long-lasting drug delivery solutions, in order for me to gradually take on the responsible formulation role for customer projects. As the customer projects vary greatly both in regards of active pharmaceutical ingredients and route of drug administration, the role demanded a high level of flexibilitet and continuously applying interdisciplinary knowledge to provide practical and cost-efficient solutions. • Analytical Scientist
      • Oct 2021 - Feb 2022

Analytical research of long-lasting drug delivery solutions. My work at DelSiTech began with a 5 month introductory period to the company's analytical workflow. This way, I was well-accustomed to the analytical processes required for my latter role of formulation scientist.

Research project in collaboration between the Laboratory of Industrial Chemistry and Reaction Engineering and the company Neste, for the conversion of carbohydrates to value-added products for the purpose of biofuel production. The project had a wide scope but my thesis was based on the optimization of glucose conversion to lactic acid and methyl lactate and the development of a series of catalysts that could contribute to the reactions. Published diploma work available below. My work also contributed to a parallel project, which published the article "Glucose transformation over a mechanical mixture of ZnO and Ru/C catalysts: Product distribution, thermodynamics and kinetics, also available below. My role was to optimize a selection of heterogeneous catalytic reactions in two parallel research projects, both focusing on the catalytic hydroisomerisation of hydrocarbons for the synthesis of value-added products. One of our key goals was to cost-efficiently optimize chemical pathways for the conversion of long-chain hydrocarbons to fuels. My work contributed to the publication of the research article "Catalytic Hydroisomerisation of Long Chain Hydrocarbons for Production of Fuels", available below. Show less

I assisted a PhD student in his research project, which focused on the optimization of a group of catalysts for the conversion of carbohydrates to value-added chemicals. I was responsible for the practical side of the project, as I performed the reactions, analysed the results and produced the catalysts used in the project. The work resulted in the publication of the research article "Continuous hydrogenation of monomeric sugars and binary sugar mixtures on a ruthenium catalyst supported by carbon-coated open-cell aluminum foam", available below. A biomaterial-research project, where I assisted a PhD student in his work to develop a polymer-based coating for human bone implants made out of the patented bioactive glass 13-93.While my main role was developing and optimizing the polymer-coating, I also assisted in developing production methods for the glass scaffolds which I was responsible for mass-producing. The final part of the project was 12 weeks of in-vitro testing of the produced scaffolds and the analysis of their chemical and physical properties. My work contributed to the making of the research article "Mechanical and in vitro degradation properties of porous bioactive glass scaffolds with amorphous, homocrystalline and stereocomplex PLA coatings".
