With my colleagues, I was responsible for the safety and quality of product manufactured on my shift. I verified cleaning and assembling of equipment, regularly tested product for quality and food safety metrics, including in-house microbial testing, and implemented a rigorous allergen testing program to prevent cross-contamination between lines and runs. This included use of ELISA protein assays for a number of target allergens.I was also responsible for contributing to our program of continuous improvement, by identifying areas of our processes that could be made more efficient, or more resistant to errors. As always I was proactive about analyzing workflows and processes, looking for weak points and opportunities for improvement.
