Working under Ryan Paul made my time at Hill Holliday a period of tremendous growth and opportunity. As my manager, Ryan always worked to create opportunities for me and for others who he managed, while also creating an open dialog for discussion and feedback that helped me become a better marketer, employee, and person. In every initiative that I took on, Ryan was there to cheer me on and to challenge me by providing advice, input, and guidance that ultimately helped to produce a more impactful and compelling end product for our clients. Prior to working with Ryan, I had experienced many different styles of management, but few posses the qualities that Ryan does. Each and every day, I watched as Ryan served as a champion for his direct reports, respected others regardless of their rank or title, and worked to foster relationships with clients and partners - even in trying situations. These actions speak volumes to the kind of man Ryan is, and through observing these actions, I learned what it truly means to be a leader. Though young in my career, I can say without any question that Ryan’s skill as a leader is unparalleled. If given the opportunity, I’d work for him again in a heartbeat. If you’re looking for a capable, respectful, and strategic leader to guide your team, look no further. Ryan is the best you’ll find by a long shot.

Ryan is one of the most delightfully fun people to work with. Both thoughtful and results-oriented, Ryan knows how to effectively lead in a way that gets the job done, but makes work feel less like a chore. Ryan is forward-thinking, especially when it comes to connecting people through technology. At the advent of social media, he created an online community for local Starbucks partners to connect with one another, discover upcoming company events, and respond to customer/store issues.

While attending college and doing freelance work, Starbucks is a great place to work in order to connect with the public and pay the bills. I love starting people's day off right by making them a delicious cup of coffee. The discount is pretty awesome, too.
