A joint venture between Nine Entertainment Co (Mi9/ninemsn) and Canstar, Australia’s leading finance research company, RateCity was Australia’s leading financial comparison website, which allows consumers to compare over 13,000 products across Home Loans, Credit Cards, Savings, Personal and Car Loans from over 250 financial institutions. My role as the Head of Sales was critical to RateCity’s revenue stream, where I was in control of RateCity’s inventory & monetisation, responsible for over 99% of all revenue streams, including complete revenue reporting, pipeline management and forecasting. On a daily basis, my role involved me dealing with CEO’s of financial institutions to digital directors at media agencies, and all levels in between. A core responsibility in my role was to develop and support great customer relationships, ensuring RateCity’s service was superior to our competitors to make certain we are always the ‘go to’ brand for all financial advertisers. I worked closely with all internal RateCity divisions across Sales, Tech, Finance, Marketing and with our CEO, to enable effective go to market sales strategies for RateCity and our wider distribution network which includes Canstar, Yahoo, ninemsn, realestate.com.au and Fairfax owned and operated finance sites.
