Cruise Whitsundays, winner of multiple awards, is an experienced and progressive maritime service provider with an annual salary cost in excess of $11 million with a workforce comprising of professionals, trade, hospitality, call centre and marine personal. Principal strategist and visionary of HR department, orchestrated all bottom-line factors aligned with company vision, long-range strategic and directed all people based activities within the organisation from both an operational and strategic perspective. Integral participant in areas such as: resource planning and recruitment; training; managing a variety of ER issues at any one time and being the first point of contact for all employee related issues. Managed the smooth transition of 4 technologies, involving the successful integration of 300 employees. Key Contributions: Instigated adequate systems and internal controls in order to streamline operations resulted in sufficient 15% decrease in attrition rates through implementation of meritocracy and incentive based rewards program Rendered management expertise to review and recalibrate all company HR systems. Authored and launched a process handbook which provided staff with a redefined focused view in line with company mission and values. Utilised broad scope of industry experience and knowledge toward eliminating exposure to employee grievance claims through the introduction of collective agreements, comprehensive HR audits and line manager training. Established an HR business partnership model focusing on talent management due to a period of significant growth with HR becoming a key stakeholder in all business areas and aligned decisions with organisational strategic priorities.
