The Superintendent oversees all daily construction activities of the project on-site. Partnering with the Project Manager, this position is responsible for the progress of the project, as well as the scheduling of subcontractors, and the delivery of equipment and materials. Manages subcontractors to complete projects within the given budget and time frame. Schedules utilities and inspections. Assesses the work of others and makes corrections as needed. May perform or assist with finish work requiring carpentry skills, such as door hanging, caulking, door installation, trim installation. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Reports to Operations Manager. Responsibilities: -Directs all subcontractors to achieve completion of the project on schedule with quality workmanship that conforms to original plans and specifications -Communicate with and assist project team in resolving worksite issues quickly and effectively to keep work progress on track -Comply with all required office administration documentation: Daily reports, safety check lists, purchase orders, weekly subcontractor goal setting and safety meetings, job schedule updates, pictures and videos, and subcontractor information requirements -Maintain and schedule all material deliveries (construction and owner items) -Maintain liaison with local and state building officials to ensure that all local practices and inspection requirements are fulfilled. Obtain and maintain all pertinent on-site job records as required by local and federal agencies -Promotes job site safety, encourages safe work practices, and rectifies job site hazards immediately through enforcing the company's site safety polices and subcontractor safety policies
