What is The Ohana-Kāne Project? Ohana speaks to the concept of a larger family that is not necessarily connected by blood. A person’s ohana can include their best friends, neighbors, or anyone else who is special in their life. An ohana is special. The people within it are bound together by genuine compassion, culture, support, loyalty, and love for each other. To become a part of someone’s ohana is a great honor. Kāne is the Polynesian word for man. Hence, The Ohana-Kāne Project, founded by Dr. Ryan M. Greene, DO, MS (@dr.g_monarchweho) and John Marino (@jmarino85) , is a 501(c)(4) non-profit group designed for dedicated, selfless, virtuous, service-oriented men fueled by fitness, health, and wellness that provides opportunities for community, mentorship, fellowship and service in the LA community.
