Ryan was my manager for a little over 7 months at GoGuardian and was an outstanding coach and mentor. He made me better as a salesperson, especially in discovery and follow-up, and was eager to impart everything he’d learned in his career. Beyond being helpful and capable, what I appreciated most was that Ryan had a collaborative leadership style and cared to know us on a personal level. It often felt like he was more team captain than boss, that we were on the same side of the table, and he encouraged us to come up with our own ideas and strategies. This was exceptionally motivating–Ryan’s trust and respect made me want to perform not just for myself, but to repay him for believing and investing in me. Ryan is also just full of personality and makes work more enjoyable. We were a close team thanks in large part to him. He even went out of his way to invite John Graetz, a solutions engineer, to all our meetings and make him feel part of our team. I’ll always be grateful for the time I got to work with Ryan and can’t recommend him highly enough.
