I am a corporate, sports, and entertainment attorney who advises companies, athletes, and entertainers on a wide variety of matters, including the formation of new startup companies, commercial transactions, intellectual property rights, sports/entertainment specific transactions, among other areas. I am passionate about helping athletes, business owners, and entertainers navigate complex legal issues to achieve their goals. I hold degrees in law (J.D. and LL.m) and business (MBAs), allowing me to be a long-term partner to my clients. Before founding Lake Law Group, I worked at the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee and a prominent firm in Denver. I have worked on MLB salary arbitration cases, motion picture deals, sponsorship agreements, and broadcasting rights, to name a few. I also served as U.S. Counsel, and a foreign legal consultant to the Canadian Women’s Hockey League, and General Counsel to the American Collegiate Hockey Association. I am graduate of the University of Denver, Loyola University School of Law, St. John’s University Law School, Queens University in Canada, and Cornell University. I am also an adjunct professor at the University of Denver and St. John’s University School of Law, teaching sports and business law. I was also named Super Lawyers Rising Star in sports and entertainment law. Show less
