  I began working with the High School Marching Band as a Tech (Coach) in early 2007. The following year, I was promoted to the position of the Percussion Head Caption, where I oversaw each and every rehearsal/performance. I was in charge of scheduling and running rehearsals with anywhere from 5 to 30 students at one time. I was acting "Head Instructor" of the Charter Oak High School's percussion section until the spring of 2010, when I resigned to leave on a national tour with a Drum and Bugle Corps based out of Southern California.
