Alex Hilliard, MBA

Ryan was appointed to his current role partway through my undergraduate studies, and during that time he showed his value to the department of Student Activities and the college. Most of my interactions with Ryan were limited to some extra help that I provided to him as I worked in the same office, and for the most part I didn't report directly to him. However, I did work on his team briefly as an orientation leader and I can say that Ryan is not just a "manager" type, but a leader. He is patient and thoughtful, takes in the opinions and concerns of others, and works hard to make sure the students' needs and desires are attended to. Ryan's programs rock, the campus events that he coordinated always had a great turnout and were a lot of fun!

I had the pleasure of working with Ryan during my senior year at Mankato State. I have worked with a wide range of people from many backgrounds and can honestly say that it is rare to find someone as dedicated, competent and organized as he is. He managed a team of student leaders to plan and orchestrate events and I can never remember a time where he didn’t have his ducks in a row. He helped me grow as a person and I will count him as a friend and mentor for the rest of my days. Thanks for everything Ihrk!
