I started a Sport & Safaris whilst still at UCT in 2004. The company does Inbound (since ‘04) and outbound (since ’10) sport travel. We cater for clientele who are passionate about their sport and travel; we also do leisure travel which forms a large portion of our business. I have been involved in all aspects from inception to this point in the company, including, conception, management systems, finance, marketing, sales and tour group leader. I have also branched out; 1) doing publishing, Sport & Safaris Multimedia, where I performed the role of publisher. 2) Marketing consultant, Sport & Safaris marketing management, where I restructured and implemented marketing plans for golf resorts. Favourite achievements, starting the business with R5000.00 loan from Standard Bank, first Barmy Army Tour 04/05, 2nd largest operator for British Lions Tour 09, published ‘Polo Guide to SA’, printed in Singapore, distributed in SA, US and UK. Stepped operationally away from business in 2012 to pursue career in Property. Show less
