As a Development Co-ordinator my time is 50/50 split between two essential teams in the game development delivery of the UK video game studio Team17. My time is split between Development Management and Outsource Management. Working in my Dev Management remit, I have an oversight and governance of developer allocation to project and the management of resources, plus budgetary approval. In addition to this, I act as a central and unbiased source of information on the status of projects and provide advice when needed to the production team and heads of departments. On the Outsource Management side of my role, I act in the capacity of an Outsource Producer and take on a project management-centric role on specific development areas of video game projects. This involves the monitoring of and facilitating the integration of outsource companies and freelancers into projects and ensuring the high quality delivery of work, but also the management of vendors, balancing the interests of both parties. In addition I also take ownership for the Outsouce Management team on our Due Diligence processes, vendor database, engagement tracking and invoice payment/PO processes. Show less

This position involved a high level of project management working with patients through their clinical fears, organising pre-operative assessments and liaising with other clinical staff. In addition, ensuring the correct staffing, resources and ward beds are available to perform each procedure and responding to any incidents that occur. As I had taken this post during the COVID-19 pandemic, we have had a myriad of difficulties to face in regards to running the department. This led to pioneering new ways of working and highlighted the importance of data quality when managing staff and resources interdepartmentally. Show less
