Dillon is an established, employee-owned professional consulting firm at the intersection of planning, management, engineering, and environmental science. With 20 offices and more than 900 employees across Canada, Dillon offers a wide range of services related to building and improving facilities and infrastructure, protecting the environment, and developing communities. With the support of Dillon’s technical team, I have helped secure funding for First Nations communities in excess of $100 million. I have also supported numerous Indigenous communities across Canada in the completion of major infrastructure and community development projects. One such project was the development of an engagement and consultation program for a $3 Billion hydrogenating facility project upgrade located along the Wolastoq river through the implementation of a “Design With, Not For” process with a local Wolastoqey community. The resulting engagement strategy positively impacted the way consultation occurs in New Brunswick on all subsequent projects. For the past 10 years, my project work for Indigenous clients has primarily focused on economic development, housing, water treatment systems feasibility/ design/ construction/ and administration, wastewater treatment feasibility/ design/ construction/ and administration, water and wastewater distribution system design/ construction/ and administration, shoreline rehabilitation/ protection design/ and construction administration, hydrogeological assessments, environmental and risk assessments, and stream rehabilitation design and construction administration.
