My job responsibilities have included a great deal of office work including sending and receiving emails and sending out Alliance mail. I also maintain the KGA webpage which I rebuilt in the spring of 2012 (www.kga.org). I have also attended a local Social Studies conference to assist with the KGA’s information table. My job also relies upon my knowledge in GIS. I have made a number of maps, most often as a part of our initiative to relate current Kentucky news to a map and then in turn, we send the map out to Kentucky teachers with ideas on how to integrate the map and geography into their curriculum (these can be viewed at http://www.kga.org/kynews.html). I have also worked at updating a number of Kentucky thematic maps that will be included in the KGA atlas which will be made available to Kentucky teachers. Show less

Store Associate

Mar 2010 - Jan 2011
My job responsibilities at Orscheln were largely store maintenance and customer service related. My work included stocking merchandise, stacking livestock feed, and keeping the store clean. I also assisted in setting store sale advertisements and new store planograms. While working in the store I was often times required to assist customers in finding a product or answer a question about a product and I also helped customers load some of our heavier or bulky merchandise. I too worked the cash register at the store where I was required to not only assist customers in checking out, but I also took phone calls and assisted customers over the phone. While at Orscheln I was required to work on a team in order to do the job effectively, whether working together on stocking the merchandise or working with another employee to better assist a customer.
