• Double function position. Facilities Plant Electrician and also Administrator responsible for the operation and implementation of the hospital equipment maintenance and information programs • Responsible for scheduling contractors to perform inspections and tests on life safety systems throughout the hospital campus and offsite locations while paying close attention to required completion dates to remain compliant with Joint Commission guidelines • Oversee all new equipment incomings. Draft and validate new and existing equipment maintenance procedures in compliance with manufacturer recommendations and requirements set forth by the Joint Commission and or CMS • Assist Facilities Department with new FTE required basic and advanced 90 day on-board training program • Appointed lead on EMDBS upgrade project • Appointed lead on equipment information software program upgrade • Administrator for EMDBS and also for our equipment information software program • Appointed as an essential position under Logistics Section Chief on Incident Command during the Covid-19 Pandemic • Perform maintenance checks as scheduled or required on electrical equipment in accordance with preventative maintenance or emergency programs. Detect and take appropriate action to correct improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials and unusual conditions, referring unusual situations to proper supervision. • Application knowledge of the principles of fire safety, infection control, hazardous communication program, universal precautions and general safety • Adhere to all departmental and hospital policies • Install, troubleshoot and test Rauland Responder 3/4/5 nurse call systems, S2 door access control, CATV, fire alarm, panic and burglar alarms, lighting and lighting controls • Member of hospital fire brigade, provide support for emergency helicopter landings and required to take action in accordance with the master plan in case of an emergency or disaster.
