• Roustabout- Assist the Crane Operator with the rigging of equipment, supplies, tubular, pipe and casing that needs to be moved or relocated throughout the rig. Inspects and rigs loads using slings, tag lines, shackles, chain binders, etc.; hooks and unhooks the crane from slings, equipment, etc.. • Floorhand- Tightens/loosens drill pipes and makes/breaks tubular connections. Tails, stabs, rack backs, and handles drill string, casing, and tubing. Makes up/breaks out stands and racks pipe in the derrick. Performs rig-ups and uses rig floor equipment. Lines up and bleeds down pressure from lines, valves, and equipment. Performs routine maintenance on the rig floor, including greasing of fittings and other lubrication points and replacement of tubular box and pin connections, dies, nuts, bolts, etc. Repairs hand and power tools. Bundle, move, rack, and maintain tubular goods. Installs stop collars and centralizers on casing. Performs housekeeping on the drill floor; conducts inspections as requested. Takes mud samples, and checks weight and viscosity; maintains documentation. Assists Derrickman in mixing and handling mud and chemicals; adjusts the flow of mud. Maintains, repairs, adjusts shaker equipment and assist with maintaining of all solid control and mixing equipment. Monitors hole for adequate fill. Performs maintenance and simple repairs on blowout prevention (BOP) equipment under supervision. Performs all duties in accordance with the Permit to Work System. Performs other duties as assigned by management. Motorman- Ensures that the regular preventative maintenance activities for the main engines, air compressors, portable water system, sewage treatment system, drill water manifold and pumps, cold start air compressors are completed. Performs deck load inspections and calculating deck loads. Maintains an engine log on a daily basis. Responsible to ensure that the fuel and oil transfers that occur from supply vessels. Show less
