I got to know Ryan after he joined Qualica as a developer and kept in touch with him ever since. His breadth and depth of knowledge is something that I will always be in awe of and that he never stops learning. His skill sets are very broad and deep, from computers programming and systems to Sanskrit.. With his general manner and how he carries himself you know problems will get resolved holistically.

I worked with Ryan at Old Mutual Insure. He is a seasoned Architect with a lot of experience. An all round great person to work with and always willing to share his knowledge.

I opened Bridge in 1996 as a sole trader, and then registered the cc in 1997.Bridge officially owns GECCO (see summary).I have not traded under Bridge since 2006 for a variety of reasons, but have retained the company since I would like to re-enter the market once I have performed sufficient development on the BPM engine project mentioned in the Summary. For the work performed under Bridge, I have created a separate section below.

Analysis / Design and Lead Developer roles. Achievements:Bridge had two lines of business, the first was based around a product and the second was general software development services.GECCO productThe Gecco product was developed internally and sold as an integration tool. The product itself is a data format translator and was sold for use in B2B trading. Owing to the work carried over from my time in ABSA's employment, most of the use for GECCO was in the motor industry. Users of Gecco included:ABSA - Trade with Telkom for card TransactionsFederal Mogul - Trade with Ford/SamcorMidas - Trade with various partnersLectrolite - Trade with various partners. Lectrolite manufacture NGK spark plugs.Gearbox and Diff centers (Pretoria and Centurion) - Trade with Samcor/FordRhino Linings - Trade with Samcor/FordKango Canopies - Trade with Samcor/FordMetropolitan Oils - Trade with Samcor/FordCastrol - Trade with Samcor/FordRoyal Bafokeng Econonic Board - Transformin monthly financial data into well formatted PDF documentsSoftware Development ServicesServices were offered in providing Open Source based software solutions to a variety of customers. Some of these were:Dimension Data (Built an Intranet on Linux/GNU with an Oracle Database )Sheriff of Johannesburg - produced a system for managing the sheriff's office including returns and accounting.iXpress - wrote an on-line system for motor service stations to upload service information which could be accessed by the vehicle's owner. Reason for Leaving:The cc Is still open, but not activly trading. The reason for moving to contracting was lack of business post 2001 "dot com bubble burst" as well as new SARS regulations on labour brokering.

Alliance (see previous position) was bought by Bytes in 2012, and this move was an internal transfer. During this time, I have performed work for: Netstar Bateman (now Tenova) Development Bank of Southern Africa Anglo American Old Mutual Insure The Aurum Institute Nedbank Vodacom ALtron (internal) The roles I have performed range from highly technical (Integration, Linux admin, AWS SysOps) to Architectural (Data, Integration, Enterprise, Solution) to Business (PreSales, planning, training of graduates). For a few of these position, my reporting has been to the executive. During 2019 I spent 9 months in a 3-man team preparing Altron as an AWS Partner, finding business as well as providing solutions within the group. This position reported to an executive within Bytes.

All things Integration and Architecture. Alliance consults in the ERP space, offering siolutions in JD Edwards and E-Business Suite. I make sure that these can and do communicate with any and all other systems which a business requires integration with. This includes establishing formal architectural patterns, practices and structures. All things Integration and Architecture. I worked at Eskom during the go-live of the Letsema project. The position was to oversee the integration layers (there were a few) in the running system. This involved ensuring that messages were delivered, reconciling systems, tracking errors and managing fixes and upgrades. I worked at Eskom during the go-live of the Letsema project. I was originally hired at MTN to integrate the Staffware system with the Weblogic middleware layer. Over time, I took over more of the MNP (mobile number portability) functionality until I owned the production system as well as the development on the new system. I also represented MTN at the industry committee for number portability. I was originally hired at MTN to integrate the Staffware system with the Weblogic middleware layer.
