Ryan is a go-getter. He excelled in my class, the Cyber Fusion Center experience. He went where no analyst had gone before, literally stepping foot into multiple client facilities to stand up new services, meeting client and business needs that previously went unmet. He is a dedicated cybersecurity analyst that puts in the extra time, effort, and work that is necessary to go above and beyond for his clients and business. As such, any team would be privileged to have Ryan working with them.

During this internship at TechGuard Security, I was able to help out with the discovery phase of performing penetration testing. I was tasked with helping create a discovery tool with another Intern in python that would automate the discovery process to find any PPI on the internet on any of the TechGuard clients. This tool would also return the results into a Word document that could be added to the final report. Some of the side projects I was tasked with were performing research and testing tools that could be used to help build out TechGuard’s phishing platform. Show less

The purpose of the Marketing Apprenticeship is to tell the Cyber Fusion Center story. I choose to help tell this story by making a promo video and outreach events to help encourage non-cyber majors to check the Cyber Fusion Centers. In the Cyber Fusion Center at Maryville Fusion Center, I was a security analyst on a team providing cybersecurity services to real-world clients (local non-profits, startups, community organizations, schools, and school districts). During the class, I worked as a consultant, helping the clients of the Maryville University Cyber Fusion Center managed security service provider improve their cybersecurity defenses, emphasizing performing vulnerability scans and penetration tests, delivering professional, actionable reports, and threat intelligence.
