Successfully helped create and implement the district’s first SLO experience for both teachers and administrators. Ran monthly training sessions to help ensure a smooth transition for both teachers and administrators. Completed the ASTR leadership course at LFHS. Currently serving on the schedule/new course proposal committee. Serving currently on the PERA committee to help create and monitor the student growth model used in teacher evaluation at Lake Forest High School. Created and instituted an electronic textbook pilot program in freshman biology classes. Over the semester data was collected and analyzed to see if these textbooks were a viable option for the district. Facilitated a safe Chemistry and Physics classroom environment that fostered the skills for every student to be able to analyze, synthesize, and evaluate problems. Was selected to create and teach a curriculum for Lake Forest’s first self contained emotionally distressed science classroom (Links) Served as Union President and worked side by side with the principal, director of human resources, and the superintendant to solve many serious issues in the district. Negotiated a settlement for an early retirement package that was in the best interests of both the teacher and the Board. Worked with the Director of Evaluation to create a coalition of staff members to work on a new staff evaluation system compatible PERA and SB7. Investigated and analyzed the attendance policy and its effects at Lake Forest High School via quantitative and qualitative data over a five year period. Ran science department meetings when Instructional Director was unable to attend. Designed a marketing campaign to get students to attempt wrestling and increased participation to highest level in decades. I was an assistant coach for track and football. Show less
