I had the pleasure of working with Ryan during my time at Fujitsu Services. He was one of the first people to welcome me and demonstrated vast knowledge of the company and account he worked on. Ryan shared this knowledge during my training period and assisted me with excelling my career during my time at Fujitsu. Ryans hard work ethic and natural ability to pick up tasks has allowed him to progress into new companies and new roles. At Chubb Insurance as an IT Support Analyst in the Manchester office, all the users who I support are Internal and work for Chubb in various sectors. I support 1400 users across 26 branches in Europe people as far away as Brno and Bangalore. My job is to make sure the day-to-day running of Chubb insurance by providing support, maintenance and administration to Chubb Europe desktops, offshore Citrix provision as well as existing application environments, provide end to end service to internal and external customers underpinned by targets and Service Level Agreements. The Job spec advises that the individual should be strong, confident, proactive, positive, excellent communicator and Team Player, I certainly have all of those attributes that are specified. I have Gained knowledge such as supporting Windows 7 enterprise, using/support Lotus Notes 8.5, SQL, Active Directory, BES, UNIX, Laptop Building. Daily duties include: • 1st and 2nd line support for financial and insurance systems using SQL databases • Supporting Chubb’s network, hardware and software installation. • Application support for bespoke insurance applications • Active directory administration and administration of new starters and leavers • Querying of Oracle tables and databases • Operator of IBM AS/400 & Mainframe systems • Support of Chubb’s monthly & annual premium financial closedown procedures. • Liaise with 3rd parties and offshore teams to resolve high severity problems and incidents • Manage incident investigations/resolution and all parties involved in line with the agreed Service Level Agreement whilst following ITIL processes. • Responsible for the effective communication of the Incident to both Onshore/Offshore and Internal users • Monitoring availability of business critical systems. • Assisting in Sarbannes Oxley procedures • Providing Company documentation when required • Creating process for new application support • Regular user access recertification checks Show less
