I have a passion for problem solving and have focused this passion in the world of Income Tax over the past 20+ years. This world has allowed me to work with individuals and companies of many different sizes across many different industries. One thing holds true across all of them, every one has faced a tax issue at some point and needed help to address it. This is the sweet spot where my technical expertise comes to benefit those I work with. Additionally, I've extended my Problem Solving Passion to building strong, expert teams within a large organization. This challenge was especially close to my heart as I built a team of 30+ members consisting of drastically different skill sets that worked together in 8 different offices across Canada. Building and managing this diverse team offered many opportunities and challenges for me to develop my leadership and management skills. The key ingredients were learning what the strengths of each team member were, supplementing them with other team members of complimentary skill sets, establishing ground rules for them to operate within, and supporting them in achieving their goals.
