Mark Turner
I was a student of Ruth’s from 2004 until 2011 at London South Bank University. Ruth was my first contact with the university and her enthusiasm for planning and everything it entails was obvious even over the telephone. That enthusiasm hasn’t waned during the 7 years I’ve been learning from Ruth. Her lectures have always been entertaining and full of both practical and academic examples. But a factor that is often overlooked when considering a lecturer’s performance is the ability to offer support and guidance. I considered giving up studying on several occasions and it was only with Ruth’s help that I was able to carry on and complete both undergraduate and postgraduate courses. I would whole-heartedly recommend Ruth as a lecturer, mentor and advocate of planning to anyone.
