I worked with Russell for several years at Matrix Resources. I was an Associate Director in the Sales Organization. I left Matrix in 1998 and have remained in contact with him, from time-to-time. My recollection of his work in IT Recruiting was an aggressive and effective technical recruiter that was driven to source and deliver timely and viable candidates. The market was very active before Y2K and our recruiting demands were enourmous with little room for underachievement. That was never a problem for Russell. He was a multi year performance club attendee and demonstrated high work ethic and effectiveness.
