-Tasked with managing up to 5 rigs drilling horizontal and strat wells with an annual budget of $80M. Mentored drilling engineers on programs and procedures, and collaborated with Engineering on KPI and best composite well to improve operational performance.-Delivered strong operational leadership to staff in the execution of day-to-day operations, and in ensuring compliance with drugs & alcohol and safety policies. Registered a TRIF of 0 (2015).-Demonstrated technical proficiency by facilitating the drilling of horizontal wells of up to 3500m in the Brooks and Drumhellar area. Drilling Superintendent Christina Lake

-Developed, implemented, and managed programs and procedures for $140MM/yr drilling program including up to three year-round rigs and seven winter rigs. -Improved safety standards by championing compliance with occupational health & safety policies. Set expectations around program compliance and reporting requirements, and secured buy-in from staff through constant communication.-Identified cost reduction opportunities through technological innovation and procedural changes. Pro-actively tested and trialled new technologies which led to the commercialization of a new technology and reduced costs through dissolution of a market monopoly.-Drilled the first infill wells in the field without incident and under budget/schedule which instantly increased production, productivity, and profitability without adding additional steam.-Drilled and cased high pressure (6500kPa) production well and worked with completions on drill stem tests and production thus eliminating the risk of shutting down production.-Drilled all delineation wells in the area including instrumentation wells and coring. Drilled brackish source wells to ensure adequate water supply for the SAGD plant.-Collaborated with drilling engineers to deliver realistic time and cost estimates resulting in +/-5% of AFE. Drilling Superintendent SAGD

• 2010 - 2011

In this role I managed up to three SAGD rigs. One rig was drilling virgin pads and the other two rigs were drilling infill wells on existing pads. I drilled all pads for Stage 3 at Firebag. I also drilled the first Infill wells at Firebag into active steam chambers. I have worked with Nabors Drilling to retrofit a conventional rig into a Pad rig for infill work. I also worked with Precision Drilling to customize a Slant Super Single for the MacKay River 2 project. I had up to twelve Wellsite Supervisors reporting to me at a time as well as three data entry personnel. Safety of my operations is of the upmost importance and all morning calls begin with Safety. I have held safety standowns to refocus crews on safety. Completions Technologist

• 2010 - 2010

Developed all initial completion and work over programs in the Firebag field. Developed and executed a tubing upsize program with instrumentation, including fibre optics. Partnered with vendors to create a hanger that allowed instrumentation to be run along with tubing.

Drilling Technologist

• 2007 - 2010

Completed all drilling programs, cost and time estimates, and raised AFE’s. Drilled disposal well in Firebag; and researched and implemented new technologies to increase efficiencies and reduce well costs.

District Engineer

• 2005 - 2007

As a District Engineer at Hughes Christensen, I managed all the product lines for Western Canada with approximately $100M in revenue. I managed two field engineers and was based out of the Edmonton Repair facility. I worked on many product development teams which launched very successful product lines for the company.
