I maintain the Town of Leland's stormwater database in GIS and have been going to the field to collect the GPS coordinates for culvert inlets and outlets, manholes, and swales, as well as collect data on those items, such as pipe diameter, material, etc. I then imported those coordinates into GIS and entered the information I collected into the database. I’ve spent 4 years of my military career as an Infantryman, which strengthened my teamwork abilities. As an Infantryman I advanced to a Team Leader position, which gave me valuable leadership experience under stressful conditions. Then in April 2018 I became a training coordinator. I help Soldiers attend training courses, and also help them coordinate business travel. I’ve spent 4 years of my military career as an Infantryman, which strengthened my teamwork abilities. I used AutoCAD and Microstation to design roads, retention ponds, and traffic control plans, while adhering to city and county codes. Additionally, I analyzed rainfall distribution maps and HEC-RAS to design storm drains, and used ArcGIS to find information on existing storm drain networks (ie manhole locations, pipe sizes and locations, pipe slopes, etc), so I would know how to tie in the proposed storm drain to the existing network. I also conducted traffic counts at various intersections, and used Synchro to simulate traffic patterns in order to determine if any changes need to be made to the existing traffic infrastructure.
