Summary of Duties and Responsibilities: Assist the Country HSE Manager, in performing HSE related works. Formulate new procedure and post order, conduct day to day inspections and assessment of on-going site activities in all areas within the project scope of works. Inspects all contractor and sub-contractor facilities, investigates accidents / incidents and submit reports on work practices and recommendations for improvement in a timely manner. Troubleshoots safety problems or queries as they arise and provide advice and assistance aimed at reducing accidents and losses. Perform safety audits on all work procedures in line with the safety plan submitted by the main contractor. Coordinates with contractor HSE department focal points regarding planning, procedures, emergency preparedness, accident prevention, safety audits and all aspects of safety management. Reviews safety manuals for updating safe practices and emergency plans and procedures, risks and crises management incorporating statutory requirements and recognized international standards Prepares and conduct toolbox talk for the staff related to the on-going activities on site. Consolidate and file corrective action reports corresponding to the compliance checks and observations made on site and submit close out reports to date. Attends coordination meetings with the contractor and sub-contractor regarding HSE of the project; ensure contractor’s compliance of safety requirements on local regulatory law.
