      Carry out specific checks of train before operation begin. Communicate with rolling stocks technician and confirming status of train. Communication and obtain dispatcher approval for train movements from workshop to station vice versa. Ensure correct position of turnout by liasing with conductor/assistance driver to switch the respective turnouts manually. Work together with a team of personnel and technicians comprising of different nationalities such as British, Saudis, Yemenis, Pakistanis, Hindis etc. Coupling and uncoupling of trains for maintenance purpose in accordance with operation procedures.       Report to Operation Train Supervisor for work.
      Carry out specific checks of train such as brake and deadman tests, interior and exterior of train components to ensure it fits for service in accordance to the checklists provided by Operations and Maintenance Departments which is certified by Safety and Security Department.
      Ensure the availability of first aid kit, fire extinguishers are in working order which are located strategically inside the train.
      Report to Operation Control Center (OCC) of any defects or irregularities of the train that may adversely affect the train performance.
      Ensure availability of lookout man before exiting from workshop.
      Inform OCC that train ready to move to stabling yard and eventually to mainline for operation requirement via radio in accordance to Communication Rules and Procedures.
      Confirm with OCC if any maintenance vehicles still on the mainline for track work and their location so that train driver will exercise caution and activate warning device when passing the area.
      Observe respective signals and turnouts while driving the train and report to OCC of any irregularities along the track such as signal failure, intruder that may compromise safety of operations.
      Stop the train in front signal in danger if any and get approval to proceed from OCC in accordance to signal rules.
      Ensure the train arrives safely and on time to respective destinations or stations according to schedule and timetable.
      Make proper announcement to passengers regarding any delays due to unavoidable circumstances such as heavy rains, lightning, floods etc.
      Execute troubleshooting and minor repair if necessary with approval of OCC such as passenger door malfunction and normalise traction power after having redundancy mode to ensure comfortability to passengers.
      Couple the train during rescue mission on the mainline and uncouple them inside workshop depot all in accordance with operation and maintenance procedures. Show less
