CPS Work Experience Programme

- Helped me comprehend the similarities/differences between various courts, such as the Magistrates Court and the Crown Court. - Acquired knowledge of the ‘Full Code Test’ (or rather, the ‘Code for Crown Prosecutors’). - Implemented ‘The Domestic Abuse Policy’ in a Domestic Abuse case. - Successfully employed (and followed) the ‘Sentencing Guidelines’, in the aim of reaching a decision. - Improved my ability to decide whether or not a case should be pursued (or continued further), especially in the face of any impediments. - Allowed me to explore several pathways to becoming a CPS Member. - Enabled me to develop my existing skills, including my problem-solving skills, decision-making skills, and critical thinking skills. - I was provided with the opportunity to network (and converse) with various individuals, including Barristers, Solicitors, Chief Crown Prosecutors, and Senior District Crown Prosecutors.
