Rupert was a very diligent worker during his time at Gómez-Acebo & Pombo. He was always interested in taking on more projects and learning about different areas of IP law. Despite Spanish being his second language, Rupert fully immersed himself into the team and proved an asset to myself and my colleagues.

I worked with Rupert in a busy and demanding third-sector fundraising environment. He was organised and efficient and able to adapt to the tasks at hand with ease. A good professional for any working environment.

Over the past year, I’ve been journeying inward and exploring spiritual paths while travelling. This came after years of diligent budgeting with my wife and spending mindfully as we moved through a select handful of countries. My travels started in Spain, walking the Camino de Santiago, before visiting ashrams and yoga centres in Rishikesh, India and Chiang Mai, Thailand to deepen my meditation and yoga practices. This culminated in my completion of a 200-hour yoga teacher training, and I’m now teaching mixed styles and techniques for yoga and meditation to clients around the world. Additional skills that I’ve deepened or acquired include:[ongoing] Freelance reporting on Tibetan human rights for Contact Magazine, a key source for Tibetan news, based in Dharamsala, IndiaTaught daily English classes in Dharamsala of up to 30 locals, as well as 1:1 mentoringWorked for the summer in the kitchen of Echaurren, a two Michelin star restaurant in La Rioja, Spain, preparing delicate fish and seafood dishes Volunteered at Jack’s Cat Cafe and shelter in Hoi An, Vietnam, caring for the cats, and preparing and serving food and drinks to customers
