  At present, I am the Head of School, Kunskapsskolan International, Gurgaon since 15th January 2018. I joined the school as the Academic Head to take over as Head of School from Mr Kenneth Nyman. Within the 4 months of shadowing him, I was tuned into the Ked philosophy and then took on the reins of the school. 1. Academics • Evolving the ecosystem of a school from Grade V level and taking it to Grade XI has been a satisfying journey. • On the academic front, the process of onboarding of staff through the recruitment, induction, training, observations, timely feedback and feed-forward has helped deliver the curricula as per CBSE/ CAIE standard yet maintaining the KED philosophy at the core. • CBSE and Cambridge affiliation for the national and international curricula-The two-phase stringent CBSE affiliation process for grades X and XII was executed seamlessly under my leadership. Cambridge affiliation for the IGCSE and AS/A levels was another achievement in my journey as a HOS. 2. Administration • I strongly believe that systems and processes drive a school ecosystem. As a Principal with no administrator on board, my expertise lies in managing all the departments single-handedly. My time is equitably divided in overseeing, administration, academic, admission, HR, marketing and accounting processes. • As an administrator, maintaining strong collaboration amongst all departments to ensure strong deliverables. An internal audit process, is built in, so that process outputs are strongly monitored. • Cutting down operating expenses, working on a stringent school budget resulting in a marked difference in the yearly budgeting.   From 2008 to 2018, I was a part of the Core Management Team, heading the Early Years Wing at Scottish High International School, Gurgaon. I was responsible for planning and implementing the Primary Years Programme of the International Baccalaureate. 1. Academics The entire new phase of the Initial Chapter was visualized and set up under my charge including the planning and designing of classrooms activity rooms, reception, office during the construction phase, interior set up, beautification, horticulture, procurement of additionalities. 2. Administration • Planning, organizing, and conducting Annual functions, Front Desk Programmes, Gallery Walks, Summer camps, Student-Led Conferences, Grandparents Day, Sports Meet, hosting workshops and seminars on international levels are my forte. • My meticulous administration and attention to detail in the academic arena ensured that the high standards (that Scottish High is known for) were upheld in letter and spirit. • The department has got a raving commendation from the IB inspectors during the evaluation phase of the school as well as during various audits of ISO as well as from visitors. 3. Perception Management • I was actively involved in the design and planning of the ‘Highwriter’-the annual school magazine and ‘Northwind’-the monthly newsletter. An avid contributor to these, my ‘Initials’ write up, ‘Cambridge Professional Development course’ column, as well as ‘ISO’ columns, are a regular feature in the above. • Being the face of the school as a CMT member, I not only had a good rapport with the parents, but my open-door policy had resulted in addressing their concerns on priority, keeping the child as the focus.
