I coordinate interviews with participating artists at various ARTCRANK shows across the country month to month, and create profile pieces of selected artists for both ARTCRANK and Neenah Paper websites, crafting stories particular to the respective website's needs. For six months from 2013 to 2014 I traveled to the Big Island of Hawai'i and Puerto Rico volunteering on various organic farms in exchange for room, board (sometimes) and education. The trip was facilitated through the World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms (WWOOF) network, but most of the farms I worked came by word of mouth. Work included land management and care, facilities maintenance, hospitality, construction, landscaping, coffee processing, demolition, community outreach and more. An unforgettable experience. For eight years I worked with DBCF, beginning as a part-time roaster and working my way to full-time manager for the corporate entity. In the latter capacity I oversaw eCommerce order fulfillment, supply chain management, store-level and wholesale roasting protocols, customer service. Other responsibilities included writing and editing coffee-related intra-company communications, cupping incoming coffees for approval or rejection and staff training on coffee quality.
