  Served as the project lead of the Blind Maths Tool initiative undertaken at startup company, Math Mate. This tool aimed to enable and advance the ability of blind or visually-impaired students with the intention of providing a learning technique that can be carried through to any level of mathematics. Globally, ~1.3 billion people live with some form of vision impairment (World Health Organisation, 2018) and by 2020, 1 million Australians are expected to have vision loss. Mathematics (both theoretical and applied) for blind/visually impaired students is practically inaccessible after grade 8, limiting the proportion of blind STEM workers to only 5%. We aimed to solve that. My roles and tasks included: - Management and resource allocation for software development team - Customer discovery and correspondence with teachers, students and other stakeholders - Securing funding for the project for future R&D - Liaising with supervisors, the founders and other partners - Market research and documentation

In ENGG1200, I helped students with their team project and group tasks each week along with 3 other tutors. In 2017, I was the lead MATLAB tutor for our group session and helped heavily in student's software and modelling for their gliders.

  My role as a peer mentor at QPASTT involves regular visits and frequently spending time with a 14-year-old mentee from a refugee background to provide them with social & emotional support whilst fostering their development to adulthood. I additionally help my mentee to assimilate into society by acting as a guide and safety net if any questions arise or in times of adversity. Already, this has been a wonderfully fulfilling journey for myself and my mentee and I am excited as much as he is to continue into the future.

  ATLAS coaching was a wonderful opportunity to participate in a start-up company which focused around the idea of corporate coaching mixed with high-school tutoring to give students the cutting edge in industry. I not only learnt valuable time and project management skills along with HR techniques, but also taught them to students who attended our classes and sessions. I was responsible for creating more customer traffic and successfully hosted a number of study groups for upwards of 3-10 students at a time.
