Under the supervision of Dr. Eric Chang, explored enzyme kinematics through examining Lactate Dehydrogenase (LDH) mutants for an NIH funded project. This project is driven by the use of bacterial transformation to selectively produce LDH mutants, protein purification to isolate the desired enzyme, and UV-VIS spectroscopy with Michaelis-Menten Kinematics to understand enzyme activity.

Under the supervision of Dr. JaimeLee Rizzo, the synthesis of antimicrobial surfaces that provided UV resistance were explored by infusing exotic butters and essential oils synergistically. Through this project, I have had the opportunity to present at many different conferences both local and national where I have received interdisciplinary awards.

PT Summer Scholars Track Leader
