Knowing Ruby for 3-years whilst she was studying I had the opportunity to witness some key skills of hers develop. The strongest aspect in her locker is her communication skills. Excelling in team environments Ruby’s enthusiasm and ability to motivate has really come to fruition. In this period of uncertainty that we still find ourselves in Ruby would be a welcome addition to any team.

I am the Marketing Assistant at S2S Group. My role and responsibilities as a Marketing Assistant are to create effective social media posts, graphic designs, campaigns, and Ads that support S2S Group's targets and goals. I create marketing materials by using softwares such as Adobe; Illustrator, In-design, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, sometimes After Effects, and Canva. I regularly attend online and in-person networking events on behalf of S2S Group to make connections with local and nationwide companies to promote S2S Group and how our services can provide them with ITAD solutions. Alongside this, I also create and distribute S2S Group's internal and external newsletters either via our social media platforms or by coding an email and scheduling it through Mailchimp. I also complete and distribute internally S2S Group's monthly report which highlights the analytics of our social media platforms, Ad performance, upcoming events, and finances. Another responsibility of mine is to organise and run our internal events, which can range from a bake sale to a steps challenge, to communicating and hiring out food vendors for in-house celebrations/events. This requires me to have great organisational and communication skills. I have many responsibilities here at S2S Group and have strengthened many of my skills. Show less

Throughout my time at Sixth form and University I worked at Starbucks as a Sales Assistant and Barista. I worked part-time whilst in full-time education and full-time throughout the summer holidays. The Starbucks branch I worked at was located within a busy Motorway Services - Woodall Services. My time at Starbucks has certainly strengthened my skills in decision-making, working under pressure, taking leadership, and working within a team. I was a trusted colleague by both management and other staff members. My main duties & responsibilities included: • Closing the main café area alone consisted of; stock refill, stock count, and a full clean down, ensuring the facility was prepared for the morning team. • Assisting management throughout our interview process. Management would ask me to spend time with the interviewee behind the drinks bar, encourage them to steam milk and make a drink and then would later ask for my opinion on that individual. • I would also train new starters on both the bar, making drinks and on the till, processing both food, drink, and merchandise orders. • Building and maintaining personal relationships with customers to maintain rapport and generate repeat business. • Enabling co-workers to locate resources and products by maintaining a clean and organised workspace. Working as a team was a key aspect of having a smooth-running shift at Starbucks, and I created great relationships with other team members. Throughout my 4-years at Starbucks, I massively improved my communication skills and confidence which have helped shape me into the person I am today. Show less

Whilst participating in my placement at Rother Valley Country Park (RVCP) I worked alongside their Operations Manager to learn all about events management and what is required to organise the events at their site. RVCP is known for holding events such as: park runs, colour obstacle courses, jet ski events, and cycling events. Alongside sports events they also open up their site for organisations to hold various business events at their site. Therefore, a lot of administration work is required to book in and make these events a success. I was responsible for sending out the pre-event forms which gathered all the information regarding where an organisation would want to hold their event (on the grass area, offices etc.), what they would need to hire from RVCP (a stage, catering etc.), necessary legal due diligence, and pricing. I would then fill out forms internally to inform other staff members on what is required and if we can allow the event to go ahead, due to doing health and safety checks. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 my placement came to an end in March 2020. Although, I managed to gain a lot of fist hand experience from both being in the office shadowing, volunteering to be a steward at one of their park runs to see an event in action, to even managing their website and spreading brand awareness by uploading information on RVCP's upcoming events on Visit Doncaster and Visit Sheffield which are both local websites sets to promote other organisations and events. Upon finishing my placement at RVCP I provided them some advice which was to either create new profiles or use their current social media platforms more (specifically Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook) to promote their event, other news, and onsite facilities to help spread more awareness of who they are, where they are, and what they offer.
