The art of bringing things to the right place at the right time. I have worked in a FEMA Distribution Center ( DC) in Frederick, Maryland and in Fort Worth, Texas where I did inventory and repackaging. I also did a lot if reorganization of supplies and cleaning of supplies from tables and chairs to televisions and refrigerators. Along with all that I have worked at JFO's (Joint Field Offices) as a logistics specialist in nationally declared disasters. One in South Carolina and one in Louisiana. I wrote press releases and newsletters to get word around about my team; and what good things they are doing for the community. Also, I took pictures to submit to HQ for there social media. As well, I tried to make them into a tweet on Twitter or post on Facebook etc. My biggest accomplishment is submitting a news letter HQ about my team in South Carolina and having it published. I also had another article about my Team Leader published in Wisconsin. I wrote press releases and newsletters to get word around about my team; and what good things they are doing for the community. I didn't really work with the media in this case. Unless it was within my role as a Media Specialist. But I did monitor some media sites for the CDP (Center for Domestic preparedness) and helped make newsletters for the CDP. I didn't really work with the media in this case.
